Who Am I?
Hello, my name is Keaton Gumlock. I’ve spent much of my life trying to discover who I am, redefining it, re-finding old findings, and doing it all over again. In this endless cycle of constant rebirth and re-discovery, I have turned to writing in order to express my patterns of growth, frustrations, beliefs, and everything in between.
This is a space for me to organize and share my work thus far. If you are curious enough to take a look I hope you’ll learn from my faults and struggles, see where I’ve come up short, and also managed to grow in places I never thought I’d be able to.
The truth is, I wish I could tell you exactly who I am, but unfortunately the makings of person are a little more complicated than that. We live in a world that typically values perceptions over true, real, raw depth and understanding. I create in order to try and portray myself in my entirety and help others do the same along the way. And maybe, just maybe, help strip away some of illustrious appeal of an appearance based world and get closer to reality.
